EDT (Essential Driver Training)
If your learner permit was issued on or after 4th April 2011 you will need to complete EDT
EDT is a course of 12 modules, each module has a syllabus set down by the road safety authority (RSA) and is designed to be covered in a one hour driving lesson, a two hour lesson would allow you to cover two of your EDT modules.
Once you have completed your 12 EDT lessons you can apply for your driving test, however you will not be given a test date until you have held your learner permit for at least six months.
